Know Your Numbers 2016!
On December 8 we invite you to attend what we hope will be a life altering event. Each year, we ask employees to “Know Your Numbers;" that is, to participate in the City’s Biometric Testing Program through Interactive Health (IH). They will be scheduling testing dates at your schools for 2016 shortly and we want everyone to take a step toward better health by participating in this FREE program. The test is a simple blood draw and you and your physician will receive a completely private in depth report to help you formulate a plan to improve your health. Many of you participated in the past and we encourage you to do so again. Monitoring your good health on an ongoing basis can in fact save your life.
To kick things off, we have invited Jay Jacobs to be our Keynote Speaker for this event. We will be sending out more material to each of you shortly, but we want you to Save the Date and please participate.
We will be awarding prizes from last year’s competition and announcing a new competition for this next cycle of testing. There will be raffle prizes, lots of free stuff and information for everyone. Bring a co-worker! If you have questions, contact the Pension & Benefits Department.

Tired of listening to so-called experts pontificate on “fixing" education? Want to help reject the test, label, and punish ideas of so-called education reformers? Want all students to have a real opportunity to learn?

Join us in Londonderry, New Hampshire on Wednesday, August 19, to support education reform done right.

Teachers need to send a message to anti-public education reformer Campbell Brown and the Republican presidential candidates speaking at the Ed Summit 2015, that we are tired of their failing vision. Help us lead and define a new vision for public education by joining our CEA and NEA colleagues from across New England in protesting the views of the candidates listed below who are scheduled to “perform."
